Mike has been absolutely phenomenal these past few weeks that I have been sick… and, well… just plain lazy. He’s always been the cleaner, but now he does the dishes, makes lunches and even does laundry. I really don’t know what I would do without him, he’s great and he’s going to be such an amazing dad. We’re both stoked!

I seriously did not realize how much that day would mean to me, until at our reception. At one point, I just stopped and looked around and said to Mike “I never want this to end. We have everyone in the world that we care about and love the most here with us right now.” Of course, he agreed. It is something that you have to experience to truly understand.

That being said – thank you to any one reading this who attended our wedding. It is a blessing to have you in our lives and we appreciate you more then you will ever know!

We were married at Our Lady of Fatima Churchin Secane, PA followed by a reception at Springfield Country Clubin Springfield, PA. Our wedding coordinator at the Country Club, Janet, was great! I must have called her or emailed her once a week in the two months leading up to the wedding, and she never made me feel like I was being a bridezilla! lol

We have the most amazing photographer – Geoffrey Horowitz, Leapfrog Photography! I was beyond thrilled with our results and would recommend him to anyone. He made us feel so comfortable and he just has the best personality and is so easy to work with.

While some of the players seemed to care less about meeting fans or coming near themfor that matter (as you can see in my pics), others seemed just thrilled to meet the fans. And, we were more then thrilled to meet them.

Of course the best part was meeting the Philly Phanatic himself. Mike and I took a pic with him in the suite when he came to visit, and he took Mike’s visor off and made is sideways. So cute! He also called my girlfriends son, Ayden, on to the field with him since he was turning three the next day. I think it made him month!

If anyone has the opportunity next year, jump on it! It was a lot of fun, despite the heat!

First of all – travel to Mexico
Let me just tell you  – H1N1, better known as Swine Flu is a thing of the past. You have a better chance of getting that here in the US then in another country. So, if you want to travel… Just do it!
They did give everyone on the plane a questionaire. It asked, of course, if you had any symptoms and a Dr. looked at them once you got through customs. I am sure that if anyone had any signs, they would have been stopped immediately. Then they gave out a flyer letting everyone know what to do in case you do come down with the influenza – in general!

Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita – Endless Privileges

Let’s talk about Endless Privileges. Ok, so basically, anything you want at any time you want it. Plain and simple. From the minute we were picked up we were treated like royalty. We were given a menu to select which music we would like to listen to on the way to the resort. Really? This was something I have never seen before. Our room was beautiful, the bathroom I think was larger then my entire house! Not really, but it was up there! As we only stayed one night, we took full advantage of all the resort had to offer. We ate sushi 3 times in 24-hours – the best part is that we don’t even like sushi here in the states. We took a sunset catamaran sail, which was very romantic and offered some beautiful views. We ate at all of the restaurants. Kaax for breakfast was amazing. I had yogurt with honey and pistachios – YUM! I must have told Mike 10 times how good it was. lol… La Canoa – This AAA Four Diamond Award winning restaurant really deserves 5 Diamonds. If only those bathrooms were IN the restaurant. Food was to die for (as was dessert) and we had the cutest little Mariachi band play for us. We also ate at the grill on the beach. I had a Hawaiian Calzone (for my Shane Victorino, who as we all know won a spot in the All Star game that same day) and Mike had a burger. Both were mouth watering. We, of course, took advantage of that complimentary 20 minute massage. They did it on the beach and all you can hear is the crashing of the waves. Then we went in and took a dip in the jacuzzi and cold plunge followed by a little work-out in the gym. Something we really need to start doing at home!
We were sad to leave but happy that we saw everything while we were there
 

Secrets Maroma Beach – Unlimited-Luxury. A New and Better Way to Have it All.

Words cannot even describe Secrets Maroma Beach. The beach was voted “World’s Best Beach” by The Travel Channel four years in a row for a reason. Water is warm as bath water and crystal clear and the sand is so soft and white. Just beautiful. We arrived and were asked to get in the “limo” (which was a golf cart), to that we could be escorted to the Preferred Club check-in. Check-in was a breeze and it was off to our Honeymoon Suite. The room was breathtaking with a fantastic view of the ocean. Our first night we ate at Himitsu and had some great sushi (again) and Pad Tai. We watched the Drums and Fire Show this evening which was the best entertainment that I have ever seen at a resort. Then off to the lobby bar for some drinks. Saturday the weather was cloudy so, although we were at the pool/beach, nothing really exciting to report. However, Saturday night we did have the best couples Swedish Massage of our lives. Neither of us wanted to do much of anything afterwards, so needless to say, we ended our weekend getaway with room service. I definitely recommend getting a spa treatment while here. It was a great way to end our weekend. I must also recommend that you book a Honeymoon Suite. Nothing beats sitting in your plunge pool on your balcony sipping champagne overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Overall, we had a really great and relaxing vacation, which is exactly what we needed.
